Cheryl Pasteur has a very long history in the community as a resident, educator, and activist. Admittedly, the education of our children sits at the core of her commitment and work! It is that commitment which motivates her involvement in the community, working with organizations, clubs, education coalitions, and individuals. Cheryl has taught at Northwest Academy (Old Court Middle School) and Milford Mill High School.  She has served as an administrator at Carver Center for Arts and Technology, Sudbrook Middle Magnet, and Principal at both Old Court Middle School and Randallstown High School.

Certainly, her time on the School Board has introduced Cheryl to concerns which need to be addressed and tackled. While on the Board, she has served as the chair of the Legislative and Governmental Relations Committee, chair of the Curriculum and Instruction Committee, member of the Policy Review Committee, the Budget Committee, and the Audit Committee. Cheryl was, also, the Board's representative on the Legislative Commitee for the Maryland Association of Boards of Education (MABE) and selected to serve on its ad hoc committee for the Blueprint for Maryland's Future. She was, also, appointed by the Speaker of the House, Adrienne Jones, in 2019, to serve on the Funding Committee for the Blueprint.

While serving as the principal at Old Court Middle School, Cheryl Pasteur had a tenure as the chair of the former Liberty Road Community Coalition and then the federally funded Randallstown UDAT committee to revitalize the Community. Until being elected to the School Board, she served over a decade and a half as a Commissioner on the Baltimore County Commission for the Arts and Sciences. Cheryl currently serves on the Boards of the Baltimore County Arts Guild and the Pikesville Armory Foundation. Cheryl is a 2021 graduate from The University of the South School of Theology in its Education for Ministry program.

Cheryl is the blessed recipient of numerous awards from community and service organizations for her contributions to the community and education.
